Week 14
New mummy blog

Wow, I can't believe it's been a month already since my last post, time sure does fly when you're up to your armpits in nappies and washing and all sorts of baby paraphernalia!

Well me and the little one (who isn't so little now) have been going to our yoga classes, baby sensory classes and aqua babies class every week so its been pretty busy. Joe has found his voice so we've been having some great babbling chats between us too which is cool.
His 12 week jabs were fine, he took them in his stride. Talking of which, we had half a roll this week,
In yoga he took advantage of being on his side and rolled right over which was really good, he'll be disco dancing in no time!

We've reached another milestone too this week as Joe has moved from his Moses basket into his cot bed. He is so long now that he touches both ends of his basket it's hard to believe that just a few weeks ago he looked tiny in the basket.
So, he's had a few nights in the cot and we've had to make adjustments. He doesn't like having covers on as they get kicked off immediately so we've gone for a sleeping bag which is just the trick as he can't kick that off!

We are going to have a look at some baby bedding sets too for when he is bigger to make it look nice in his nursery.

New mummy blog

Week 10

Let me introduce myself, I'm a new mum to my first child and he is just 10 weeks old today.
Baby Joe has turned my life upside down since he arrived in early March. It's certainly been a steep learning curve one that is both exhausting but very rewarding as well.

I had planned to do this blog on a weekly basis, the fact I have only just started at ten weeks of having him shows perhaps how naive I was in thinking I could just do a blog every now and then. With a new baby you really don't get much 'spare time' gone are the days of just doing things at leisure even the chore of cleaning the bathroom became something I actually wanted to do as I hadn't had the chance to clean properly since having him (I never thought I'd say that!). Just getting myself up and showered is a good achievement especially in the early days. At my job in the city I always thought I was pretty good at multi tasking but this really takes it to a different level!

I've learnt so much already about being a mummy, I am really starting to enjoy it and want to do the best I can for my little boy.
I'm writing this blog as I want it as a reminder for myself of my time as a new mum and maybe in doing that it will help some other mums get ideas of things to do.

We have just booked up for our first summer holiday away since having Joe which I'm sure will be fun planning for. We went to our first aqua babies class yesterday which was great fun so by the time we go away I'm hoping he will be a happy swimmer or at least happy being in the water.
I will be investing in a sun hat and sun suit for him to protect his sensitive baby skin when we are in the pool or on the beach and some sunglasses too.

That's all for now as he's just waking up, gotta go.... :)
