Wow what a month June has been for us. Record sales over last June and especially on the furniture this month ! What has been going on ? New furniture supplier (Saplings Nursery Furniture) has been added this month and no sooner did we add the cots the sales and enquiries started coming in. Still have the same questions from customers about should I go for a cot bed or a cot and we are happy to help as much as we can. There has been real interest in nursery furniture individual items and nursery furniture sets as well.
Some other new products added this month to help with sales and the range of baby gifts is really starting to get some traction now. Quite excited about the Nappy Cakes - Diaper cakes that we recently added to the site...what a great idea ! Had not seen or heard of them before but they have been around for awhile I understand. Baby gifts this month have been a real hit and especially the Humphrey's Corner Record Book for some reason ..... lovely gift.
The weather has also played an interesting part with us pushing different products depending on the weather that day. Good examples of this being waterproof kids stuff and Banz sungear
New CRM system and other business intelligence tools are now starting to give some value back which is good. Plenty of business analysis reports and data that need to be careful we don't suffer from paralysis from analysis. Some of the 'blue sky thinking' on different marketing approaches have helped as well.....some were pretty wild, but obviously worked !
Plenty of SEO work completed this month and since Google has done the Panda update we are glad to see all the hard work has paid off. Its been a while since I worked in IT but glad to see the 'old' methods are still working when it come down to good old hard work.

Travel cots offer really neat ways of having somewhere for your little one to rest during the day. In fact they also make great sun shades to the little one out of direct sunlight. Some the travel cots even have a black out and mesh type of material to stop bugs and flies etc getting in. They come in a variety of different colours and designs (I have list one below to give you an idea of the spec). These travel cots are also pretty neat when you want to go to Grandma's house, or around to some friends that do not have kids. They pop up very easily and can be put in any room to make a lovely little bed for baby. The thought of becoming pregnant fills the mind with all those practical points that need to be considered, home, money, sleep….nappies ! It has been reported I some groups of people that the fact of being pregnant could actually make you pregnant……sounds interesting, lets read on !
Some scientists are of the view that by being pregnant and all the associated activities of the task of motherhood, may actually increase your memory as well as make it easier for you to learn. It is sometimes thought that even senses such as smell and hearing could even improve.
Well this is all well a good and an interesting read, but to be fair I would certainly say from my own experience that my hearing ‘seems’ to be better than it was. A good example of this being that I now seem to be able to hear my little one breathing in the room next door !......SUPER MUM with super sonic hearing ? Well not quite I assure you, but hey I hear it!
Maybe this could be down to the hormonal changes that happen during pregnancy and motherhood, who know ? But a theory could be that if Mother Nature has anything to do with it, maybe it’s something to do with increasing your senses all round in order to ‘protect’ the newborn.
.Maybe the fact that a lot of new parents experience lack of sleep may even have something to do with it ? Who knows ? but one thing for sure for me, my sense of hearing definitely improved ……IQ levels increased and I am now a MENSA member…..errr, ummm……. I don’t think so !

Last few days we have been adding the Saplings range of nursery furniture. The sets of furniture and the cots / cotbeds in particular.....great designs and colours.
