Buying a baby gift

4little1s.com - Baby gifts buying advice

Let s face it, if your buying a baby gift for someone else its not easy. Especially if you do not have children yourself, it is a very confusing field dotted with traps and mines to catch you out on age group, will they like it, what do kids of that age do / like etc. I have written this article to help out in the baby gift buying area and hope to give some advice as to how best go about this.

This guide will give some clarity and direction so the next time you need to buy a baby gift for a Christening, Birthday etc, its not so daunting and is actually useful.

Useful and practical baby gifts
Ok, speaking as a parent here, cute little toys, brightly coloured things, teddy bears, rattles etc are all great but, bringing a baby up involves some practical advice as well.
· Baby nappies
· Baby bottles
· Baby equipment sterilizers
· Baby dummies
· Baby wipes
· Baby vests
· Baby clothes
· Baby shoes
· Potties
………are the order of the day on day one, and a new parent needs to be ‘prepared and ready’. While not the most exciting items to buy, when I look back I am glad some people did buy these for us. Nappies are quite expensive (you don’t realize how much when you are not a parent).
Have a think about natural nappies as well as disposable ones, as there are a lot of nappies that are thrown away each year on this planet!
Baby Clothes and slings
Baby clothes can be extremely confusing to say the least, especially if you have not bought them before. However it is actually quite straight forward…..

Baby clothes are sized by age generally, but I have noticed some are sized according to new baby born weight. It’s a fact of life I’m afraid, that babies will grow out of the new born clothes very quickly, so having a steady supply of them is great news. I suggest buying a range of sizes, so baby can grow into them over the first few months.

If you are not sure if it’s a baby boy or baby girl, I suggest a gift voucher from the store as this allows the parent to choose.

Baby slings and baby carriers are also something that not only are becoming fashion accessories are very practical to hold baby. Check out our baby slings and baby carriers at our website www.4little1s.com for a collection of baby clothes, slings and carriers for your little ones,
Baby gifts and baby toys
There are many baby stores and websites that you can browse for hours to buy a baby gift. Most offer a range of goods and allow you to pick and mix, some offer recognised branded goods other offer truly unique and special gifts for all over the world. We run an online baby gift website call www.4little1s.com and offer a number of handmade gifts that really offer something special for new babies. Baby hampers offer a good all round mix of treats for the little one as well as parents and worth looking at getting one delivered.
…..Don’t forget the parents
It’s all too easy to forget the parents, a little bit of pampering for them is always appreciated and helps for the times ahead. This can be something as simple as a gift voucher for their favourite clothes store, a meal voucher (assuming they have a baby sitter!) or maybe even something more extravagant! However from our experience, the best present someone bought us was a simple card with a handmade voucher in it saying ‘ 1 baby sit voucher’ can be redeemed anytime. Our website also offers gifts for parents so they can be pampered a little.
