Funky Feet Shoes and clothes
We are having a special sale with the Funly Feet line of goods we currently have in stock at the moment. Some prices are at the lowest you will find around (check the shoes out if you don't believe us). I haven't really 'marketed' them yet as need to think of some good ideas as how to do it...feel free to post a comment on the blog if you have any great marketing ideas. Might do an email marketing campaign or a little Twitter (but its mainly our competition who are following us anyway !)
The Funky feet shoe range are only £5.00 and we are not really making money on them as we need the space for more goods that are shifting alot quicker. Special offers, sales, clearance sale....call it what you will but I am pretty confident you won't find Funky Feet shoes at a fiver a go....even on Ebay !
Anyway - if you are looking for soft slipper shoes or a matching T shirt to go with it, check out our webpage (www.4little1s.com) and click on clothes, footwear.

NURSERY FURNITURE - What to do ?
Ok so there you stand, leaning against the door frame of an empty room...soon to be filled. Clean walls, the odd picture, a pair of curtains (old) , and furniture feet marks on the old carpet where the wardrobe used to be.
Soon, your little one is going to be sleeping here, mixed up in soft toys, wooden toys, teddies and other toys. You think for a minute and then the panic starts..... errr when and how exactly are you supposed to start this project ?
What about room design, what nursery furniture do you actually need and what is clutter ? Colours ? What about a budget...how much is a cot anyway, and what is a cotbed by the way ? Before you take that trip online or down the high street jibbering to yourself and being in a daze, read on for a little help from 4little1s.com
Designing your babies little nursery
Do you buy the nursery furniture, baby bedding or the toys first ? ....well there lies the first question and the answer is its a matter of your own choice really....
Think of a design scheme and colour, in the same way you would a regular room, modern, bright, historic, trains, flowers, fairies etc and also think about colours, blue, pink etc. Some people say to buy a cot or a cotbed and then design your nursery around it that way round. Then buy bedding that goes with the wood effect if its dark or light. However, the way I would recommend you dress a nursery is to build a picture in your head first and work from that. That way you are able to picture what the end product will look like and simply build it up from there....SIMPLE ! Well not exactly....... !
A good decorating tip is to paint or wallpaper your room before the nursery furniture arrives as trying to decorate a room with a new cotbed, wardrobe, peg shelf, changing top is not easy and you are bound to get glue or paint on them.
A couple of themes we provide on our website are listed below to help you get going on the baby bedding and nursery furniture side of things.

Nursery Furniture -
The Cot and Mattress
Almost without exception, most people buy the cot or cot bed first (cotbed is a cot that truns into a bed as they get older). It’s seen as the centerpiece to the nursery. It is worth spending a little more on a decent cot as baby will be spending alot of time in here and also, most importantly, it needs to be to be safe. Generally its better to buy a new one due to changing regulations about saftey etc.
You can buy a whole variety of different shapes and sizes and also woods such as ash, maple or oak. Ensure the mattress base is sturdy and has good quality wooden or metal supports. The bars must not be spaced out too much in order to ensure baby doesn't get stuck between them ! Although usually more expensive, it worth buying a cot bed as this prolongs the life of the bed as baby gets bigger and saves on buying another bed later on.
The Change Table
Ok so lets get realistic, your are going to be changing alot of nappies...lets reinforce this message....lots of nappies ! Some babies will need to be changed eight to twelve times a day....thats alot of poo ! Cot top changers provide a platform in order to change baby with minimal fuss and are usually placed ontop of the cot. They really do come in a wide variety of styles and colours...check them out on our website to get a better idea of what is available. Also remember you are going to be using a lot of baby wipes, baby lotions, and baby talc powder.
Wardrobes, Chests, Dressers, and Other forms of storage
I can reassure you, you will underestimate just how much 'stuff' you need and collect for baby on a day to day basis. Sometimes just going to the supermarket to buy a pint of milk, looked like I was going to climb Everest !
Look out for matching baby drawers and wardrobes to match the cot or cotbed, some even have some great and fun designs etched onto them like elephants, trains and so on.
Boxes to put toys in (toy chests) really are excellent for storage as well as collecting all the toys from the days excitement and putting them away to get you house back to normal for a few hours.
Look for fun painted ones with non-toxic materials used and look to match the cotbed, wardrobe and drawers.
Nursery Bedding / Baby Bedding
Fun bedding Sets: Buying something called a bedding bale is usually the easiest as it includes everything you need in one pack. Usually contains a sheet, cot bumper, pillow case blanket etc.
Smart Mum tip - It is always worth stocking up on extra baby bedding, finding out you don't have a spare clean sheet at 3am is not good for your head !
Lampshades: All babies nurseries should have a fun and colourful lampshade! Buy lampshades that matches the nursery theme you decided on. See our range of nursery lampshade and be prepared to say aghhhhh
Musical Mobile: To entertain and stimulate baby, musical mobiles attached to cribs complete the nursery sense with sound. There are endless varieties, from hanging butterflies to teddy bears to bunnies.
Baby Hampers & Bouquets: Ok so not essential, but these really do make a difference to the new family and offer not only a treat but also some practical clothing.
Nappy Stacker: These are basically tools to do exactly what you might think, they store and stack up the many nappies you are going to get through.....convenient storage solution
Get more traffic to your site
Here are just a few tips I have used to get more traffic to websites. They at least help.....
I have found writing articles and then publishing them onto websites such as:
- ezinearticles.com
- articlesbase.com
- searchwarp.com
- alumbo.com
- articlesfactory.com
Generates a certain amount of traffic that helps convert to sales.
The second idea being to submit your website to web directories that offer free links, that is ones that you do not pay. A few of them are:
-dmoz.com
- lii.org
- littlewebdirectory.com
- skoobe.biz
