Children’s Bedding and Additional Bedding Accessories  - An Interior Designers Secret…..

You have heard the expression ‘accessorize, accessorize, accessorize’…….well, as it is in the world of children and baby bedding. Simple items can make such a huge difference when it comes to smartening up your baby’s nursery, or maybe an update to your baby’s room now they are a toddler or growing up.

Some of the tricks of the trade held by interior designers and the like for years have been these simple and cost effective ideas such as scatter cushion, photo frames, light switch covers, Bins, Lampshades are all par for the course. Scatter cushions have been a long time favorite of mine (especially the Gruffalo and mouse cushions) which incidentally happen to have free delivery on the 4little1s.com website at time of writing.

Baby Comforters make an excellent addition to any nursery and quite often comforters become a favorite item from birth and can last many years.

Canvass art is another interior designers secret , that only for  a few pounds you can literally transform a bland nursery wall into a an area the eye focuses upon. The other extreme of the scale of this is to consider buying a personalized print such as the Humphrey’s Corner range of wall art (some of which can be found on the 4little1s.com website)

Soft Toys such as the Humphrey Corner range of soft toys really add a fun and exciting item for any bedroom .

Rather than wallpapering the whole wall, why not consider wallpaper borders. These are thin strips of wall paper that you usually put around the middle, top or bottom of the wall rather than covering the whole of the wall.

Children rugs offer another great option to draw the casual eye to the floor and suggesting the theme of space (if the floor is uncluttered of course!). Rugs tend to come in the traditional style of a rectangle, but also look for other fun shapes such as circles such as the popular ‘Bullseye Target rug’  or maybe the car shaped rug  as found in the rugs section of the 4little1s.com site. We have wooden floor in our children’s rooms and having a rug on the floor makes all the difference and especially make a good play area. Of course, you don’t have to be the traditionalist here…..why have the rug on the floor ? Some people hang rugs on the walls of course. This simple but very effective move really breaks up a boring white wall indeed. Finally, some children rugs such as car play mat rugs offer a truly dual purpose as not only do they provide for the traditional rug they offer a road infrastructure to drive mini cars and trucks around.

A couple  more items such as a children’s storage box are always a good idea to store toys and other general items that accumulate in the room.

Buntings are another item that are always worthy of a mention, wow, what a great way to REALLY liven up a nursery or kids room.

Matching baby sleep suits and soft matching toys that compliment a specific design often complete a bedding set and add the final finishing touches as well

Many baby bedding and children bedding sets include a wide selection of additional accessories than just the bedding bale, sheets or blankets etc that most new parents or parents looking to update a room usually end up buying. Be adventurous and bring out the interior designer in you and

Quality ranges from companies such as Izziwotnot,  Lollipop Lane, BabyFace, Bedebyes, Ella and Otto for example offer  a full range of bedding and nursery items that can be used to achieve the matching and coordinated look for your little ones room.
