New IVF tests to double success rate

A British fertility patient has become the first woman to become pregnant using a new treatment which could double the IVF success rates. The 41 year old patient who has had 13 failed IVF cycles after doctors were able to test for chromosome abnormality inside an unfrozen egg, therefore increasing the speed and efficiency of implantation. This screening method has the potential to improve birth rates and minimise miscarriages said Dr S Fishel of Care Fertility Group in Nottingham.
